D. Elaine Thomas, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Temple College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Kaplan University, and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from University of Texas Arlington. During her 8 years of emergency nursing, it exposed her to all types of patients and medical situations. She was emergency trained in a level 1 trauma center for adults, and level 2 trauma center for pediatrics.
She was raised in and lived in Abilene, TX, until 2007 when she moved to Belton, TX. She returned to Abilene to be close to her family after her husband retired from the Army in 2018. She is married with 3 sons, and one daughter. They enjoy fishing, farming, cattle and pigs, camping, and exploring new places.
Elaine is an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Texas Nurse Practitioners.
